Localisation
Localisation means the adaptation of content, processes, products and in particular, computer programs to the prevailing local, linguistic and cultural conditions in a specific geographic or ethnic area of commercial or marketing interest.
Primarily, this adaptation includes the translation of the program into another language. These are
processed mostly using specialised CAT programs.
As well as the texts, date, time, currency, temperature, measurement and conversion sizes also have to be taken into account.
